Birch sap harvesting

Quick Birch Fact:
In the Cariboo region, birch sap generally begins to run during the month of April. The trees are tapped and the sap is collected in buckets before being transported to the Sugar Shack for processing.

SUSTAINABLE HARVESTING

Sweet Tree Ventures is committed to sustainability and promotes the use of BC's forests by harvesting birch sap in a responsible way, ensuring the continued health of our birch woodlots for future generations.

Each spring the trees are tapped, sap is collected, and the crystal clear sweet sap is boiled down to make our nutritious natural Birch Syrup. We also make a delicious Toffee Candy and a Spicy Barbecue Sauce from Sweet Tree Ventures' Birch Syrup.

Since introducing our products to the market in 2008, we've cultivated a loyal following of repeat customers. We're pleased to add that we rank in the top 100 products on the Edible British Columbia website.
